Welcome, Elliot Susanne, our beautiful daughter

Elliot Susanne was born July 3 at 11:00 pm(she tried to wait until July 4, but I reminded her she'd be called Yankee Doodle for the rest of her life. She quickly flew after that!) She weighed 7 pounds 2 oz and was 19 1/2" long. She scored a 9 on her APGAR & they said her hearing test scored higher than any baby in a long time. Very healthy little girl! Her likes are milk, sleep and more sleep. Her dislikes are poopy diapers, cold wash rags and not sleeping.

She is PERFECT, I'm telling you!!

July 15 - First "real" bath. Decided it would be easier just to bathe her in the sink instead of the baby tub, after a messy diaper! Her belly button is stained from something the pediatrician put on the umbilical cord to make it dry up faster.
She enjoyed this bath a lot more than the sponge baths!

July 17 - Yes, "I'm A Cutie"

She has begun to smile! She smiles HUGE with her mouth open for several seconds ... I didn't manage to capture it on camera, but I got this smile to share! She has the PRETTIEST smile I've ever seen! It will melt your heart!

August 9 - making more noises & faces now!

August 10 - Can you find the baby?

August 11 - Tummy time! She can lift her head, shoulders & upper chest when she's laying on your chest! Her head is very strong now.

August 14 - Onesie says "Party in my Playpen." Someone is pooped!


August 15 - little bit of a smile. One day, I'll catch the BIG SMILE on camera. But that doesn't happen very often right now.



August 16 - isn't she beautiful? 6 weeks & 2 days old now.
